It’s not working :-( … I have this config:

Wordpress WordPress 2.9.2
Buddypress 1.2.3
WPML 1.7.3 (Language by Directory /de/ etc. is working!)
BuddyPress Multilingual 1.0.0

Theme is:
BuddyPress Scholar 2.1.5 (WPMUdev)

But it is also not working with BuddyPress Default 1.2.3 Theme!

PHP + MySQL is up-to-date!

The Pulldown just does not show up and my main problem is that the BuddyPress Links in the Menu don’t have the /LANG/ in their URL so as soon as you click on something within the “Community” Tab your on the default language (english)!

:-( (

What could it be?????

I guess you're talking about this site 'http://www.bmxnet.org/', right?

BPML isn't active if BP or WPML aren't activated.
Also it's only active on main blog (where you use BP).

Are there any customized settings for BP?

Yes! It's http://www.bmxnet.org ... WPML is active and BP is active ... tried debug but get no error messages!? What could it be?

Default Lang is en = http://www.bmxnet.org
Second Lang is de = http://www.bmxnet.org/de

It's a bit confusing and frustrating ... first time I work with WPML now before I used another one for multilanguage blogs (like my own http://www.inkland.com)

OK ... I put the debug mode back on ... I can click throu all admin pages of WPML ... I deactivated the plugins (both) and activated it back ... no errors!!!!

What can I do ... which button is to be squeezed to get a helping error???

Oh, I use NO WPMU ... I use regular Wordpress ... the MU Feature is not needed! Just in case that is important!

Oooops ... ok ... that is a key information I did not see ... maybe I was blind on that spot since I heared that MU and regular WP become one with version 3.0 which is "around the corner" ready to be released ... actually I did not use WPMU because somebody (more into WP than me) told be it becomes one anyways and I dont have to make it more complicated than it needs to be ... by the time my site "grows" to that point where MU features make sense 3.0 would be out and ready to be used :-O ... well ... almost right he was ... it's the little things that count sometimes ...

So do you think BPML would be able to run with regular WP any time soon - or should I look for alternatives????

Like you're saying, when WP3 comes out, they will be as one. Then, we'll support both.

I add my question to this topic, because I have problem with Buddypress Multilingual and the basic theme of Buddypress 1.2.3 (+ WPMU 2.9.2). I installed the last version of the plugin (WPML too) and I have problems to display the languages in the admin bar. The "sub-categories" looks like in this screenshot:

I modified the basic theme but i tried a fresh installation of WPMU 2.9.2 + Buddypress 1.2.3 + WPML + Buddypress Multilingual and I received the same result. Please, can you suggest me how solve the problem? May I have to check the server settings? (I'm on a dedicated server...). I have not changed the original CSS of adminbar, but only the "default.css".

1) Are other dropdowns in top bar displayed OK? ('My Account', 'My blogs' etc.)

2) Is text link to Italian there (but colored same as background) or it is not displayed?

@srdjan: Thank you for your answer.

1) Yes, the other dropdowns are displayed correctly;

2) The colors for "Italian text" are the originals when you install the plugin, I haven't changed their values. I tried a new install in another domain (WPMU 2.9.2 + Buddypress 1.2.3 + last versions of WPML and Buddypress Multilingual) and I found the same situation...

So, I checked the colors but the second language text is not displayed... If I find a solution I'll post it...

I've the same problem.
WPMU 2.9.2, BuddyPress 1.2.3, WPML 1.7.2, BuddyPress Multilingual 1.0.0

When I switch manually, adding lang_code to the url, like http://example.com/en/members WPML works fine, but the internals links of the buddypress profile are not localized. Also I'm having issues when I use my custom function to switch between languages (adapted from adminbar_lang_switcher_menu )

Any ideas? I see that BMXnet it's working fine... Did you do something special INKstar?

php don't report any errors.

Hi! Well it is not working fine really ... all internal links of BuddyPress if you switch away from default language are invalid (not working) ... our first (default) language is english and second is german ... if you surf buddypress in english everything works ... if you switch to german all links on the page (like userlist -> next page) are not working! The menue on top works! So it's kinda a 50% solution ... better than nothing but at the moment we think about switching to have the page english only! :-(

you're right - users list paging links are not adjusted.

We would appreciate if you specify other issues too,
so we can add support for that in next release.
